The name “Publico” is short for “Public Cooperation”, as the chair is a public
chair that is not designed to be seated on for a long period of time, so each
user will use the chair to rest for a while, before they are ready to take a
walk again and so the chair is available again for another user. The chair is
meant to be provided in the pedestrian walk sections on the sides of the
streets, so that pedestrians who are tired after a long walk and couldn’t find a
chair could rest for a while on Publico. It is made of steel, and using rubber
mat for the seat for user’s comfort while remaining its simple and minimalist
shape and also easy to be cleaned.
