| Title of work: 'Peel' (fruit bowl) | ||||||
| Materials: Wood + Ceramics | ||||||
| Size: 156 mm X 156 mm X 175 mm | ||||||
| Rationale | ||||||
The core idea of the fruit bowl came from the notion of “peeling a fruit”. When
you ‘peel’ something, a lot of emotions and senses emerge as we anticipated what is ‘inside’. I was inspired by the ‘non uniform’ structure quality of Campana Brother’s body of work and the right-angle triangle pattern of the Federation Square Building in Melbourne by Lab Architecture Studio. The use of icosahedron shape was inspired by the action of peeling a fruit. |
