    Rationale

This work is my impression of the Australian rural landscape. I am investigating the manner in which discarded pieces of farm machinery, left sitting in a paddock become part of the landscape. Whilst the skeleton of an old truck or farm implement is essentially rubbish, it, over time, can form a symbiosis with the earth and project itself as an extension of it.

It is ironic that an implement once used to scarify the earth or perhaps cart it away now becomes a part of it, taking on the dusty burnt colours of the earth and finally becoming indiscernible from it.
